Johnnyswim, an American folk duo consisting of singer-songwriters Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez, was formed in 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee. The duo met after Sunday service at a church in Nashville, where they began collaborating on music. Their first self-titled EP was independently released in June 2008. Johnnyswim gained traction with releases such as 5-8 (2010) and notable collaborations like "Morning Song" (2009) with Bruce Sudano. The duo's breakthrough came with their charity single "Hallelujah", released in December 2011, which featured Tulsi and benefited VisitingOrphans.org. Johnnyswim signed with Big Picnic Records and released their debut full-length album Diamonds in April 2014, which topped the Singer/Songwriter chart for several weeks. The duo continued to release successful albums including Georgica Pond (2016), Moonlight (2019) and Johnnyswim (2022). The duo married in 2009 and have three children together.
