A founding member and natural leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival from 1967 to 1972, John Fogerty then embarked on a solo career that alternated between success and eclipse. He got off to a rather modest start with The Blue Ridge Rangers (1973) and John Fogerty (1975), before a dispute with his record company forced him to take a break. The man from the bayou returned in force with Centerfield, which reached number one in the United States in 1985. A lawsuit with the former manager of Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1987 led to another period of silence. A true rock phoenix, the Californian is back in the saddle with Blue Moon Swamp in 1997, followed by the live Premonition (1998), where he performs CCR tracks for the first time in his solo career. In 2007, John Fogerty released another landmark album, Revival. At the age of sixty-eight in 2013, John Fogerty lets himself go and reinterprets his standards on Wrote a Song for Everyone with a host of stars including Miranda Lambert, Bob Seger and Kid Rock.
