Emerging from Sabinas, Coahuila, in 1982, JLB y Compañía—named after founder and lead vocalist José Luis Beltrán—have become stalwarts of Mexico's tropical music scene. Their distinctive has resonated across generations, with early hits like "Dímelo a Mí" and "La Culebra" establishing their presence. The group's ability to blend traditional cumbia with contemporary flair led to popular tracks such as "La Parabólica," "Pelotero a la Bola," and "Espuma del Mar." Their 1999 album A Ritmo de Cumbia further cemented their status, featuring fan favorites like "Pasito Tun Tun" and "La Magia Negra." Over the years, JLB y Compañía have maintained their relevance with releases like 45 Éxitos (Versiones Originales) in 2015 and collaborations with other tropical acts, including the 2023 album Lo Mejor De Dos Grandes alongside La Sonora Dinamita.
