Jessie James Decker

Born Jessica Rose James on April 12, 1988, in Vicenza, Italy, the American country / pop singer and songwriter is better known by her stage name Jessie James Decker or simply Jessie James. She is best known for several country music hits as well as appearing on the reality TV show Eric & Jessie: Game On with her husband, American football player Eric Decker. Born on a military base in Italy, she moved quite often while growing up and spent time in Iowa, Kentucky, Texas, Georgia, and Louisiana. While growing up, she became interested in music and turned to singing and songwriting. By the time she was 17, she had already come to the attention of Big Yellow Dog Music, which led to signing a recording contract with Mercury Records. Her pop-oriented 2009 debut album, Jessie James, featured the Top 40 hit “Wanted.” However, Jessie James was unhappy with the musical direction her label had encouraged her to pursue and began recording a series of singles that reflected her country roots including the hits “Military Man” (2012) and “I Do” (2013). She married NFL player Eric Decker in 2013 and appeared on a reality television show, Eric & Jessie: Game On, which ran for three seasons. Jessie James Decker released the 2014 EP Comin’ Home, which landed on Billboard’s Country Music Albums chart at Number 5. Her 2015 holiday EP, This Christmas, reached Number 16 on the same chart. After the early 2017 release of the Gold EP, she released her sophomore album Southern Girl City Lights later that year, which hit Number 1 on the Country Music Albums chart. In 2018, she released a Christmas album, On This Holiday, which reached Number 10. In October 2021, Jessie James Decker released the EP The Woman I’ve Become, which featured the hit single “Should Have Known Better.”
