Jeff Chang

Jeff Chang, born 張信哲 on March 26, 1967, in Xiluo Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese singer known for his sentimental Mandarin pop ballads. Chang began his philanthropic work as a voluntary teacher in impoverished areas of Taiwan during high school. His music career started with winning a singing competition while in college, where Hsiao-Wen Ting was a judge. Since 1989, he has released numerous successful albums, including 說謊 (Lie), 憂鬱 (Blue), and 忘記 (Forget Me Not). After completing his military service in 1992, Chang returned to the music scene with the album Knowing, which became a best-seller. In 1994, he released Waiting, featuring the classic song "Don't Be Afraid that I'll Be Sad". His 1997 album Adore included the duet "A Little Touched" with Carina Lau, which remains popular in KTVs. Chang's musical style evolved over time, and his 2006 album Be Your Man marked a significant phase in his career. He also ventured into acting and stage production, becoming Taipei's leader in a stage theatre team in 2011. In 2016, Chang participated in the fourth season of the Chinese reality show I Am a Singer, achieving second place. Notable albums include Escape (2008), Genesis (2010), and See the Light (2021). In 2025, he released the album Be part of (屬於), featuring the track "Our Story (属于我们的故事)".
