Jay Fung

Jay Fung, born 馮允謙 on 22 February 1988 in Hong Kong, is a Hong Kong singer whose career began after moving to Edmonton, Canada, at age one‑and‑a‑half and studying marketing at the University of Alberta. His musical journey started with guitar lessons at thirteen, leading to participation in the third season of The Voice, where he finished as the final runner‑up. In 2012 he signed with Music Plus Label and released his debut single "Starting From Today" and the album Brand New Start. After joining Media Asia Music in 2018, he released the EP Detour in 2020, and the subsequent EP Awaken, featuring the single "Beyond the Stars", which won Best Song at the 903 Music Awards and earned a silver medal at the 903 Awards Ceremony. His studio albums Life / Line (2021), Love & Loss (2022), and Emo (2024) continued his presence on the charts, with singles such as "Searching for Sugar Man" and "Take A Breath" receiving significant airplay. Jay Fung has collaborated with artists including Ian Chan and Janice Vidal, appeared as a mentor on TVB’s The Voice of Dreams, and performed live at venues such as the Star Hall of the Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre. In January 2026, he released the EP Fragments of My Mind.
