JAWNY

West Coast lo-fi pop artist JAWNY, first began making music as Johnny Utah in 2016 and released his debut self-titled EP on Z Tapes Records in 2018. Born Jacob Lee-Nicholas Sullenger on December 23, 1995, JAWNY began playing guitar when he was 6 years old and his bedroom pop-funk has since proved popular after becoming a viral sensation with over 9 million views on YouTube. A multi-instrumentalist and former pizzeria manager, Sullenger moved to Philidelphia in 2016 and released the singles "Folding Like Honey", "PATTY", and "Crazy For Your Love". Interscope Records came calling in 2020 after his single, “Honeypie” earned him millions of streams and followers on Spotify and TikTok in 2019. After changing his name to JAWNY that year, Sullenger relocated to Los Angeles and released the single, "Anything You Want", taken from his major-label debut, For Abby, a mixtape that included the singles "Sabotage", and "Super Bad Mantra" (featuring Christian Blue). "Really Meant”, a song from his second EP, Big Dogs, has also featured on an episode of the critically acclaimed HBO series High Maintenance, in 2019 and his songs have also been featured on Spotify's Indie Pop, Fresh Finds, Bedroom Pop, Pop Rising, Ultimate Indie, and Apple Music's INDIY playlists.
