Born on April 18th, 1990 in Nanhai, Guangdong, Hong Kong-based personality James Ng (峿¥å¤) first made a name for himself as an actor, starring in comedy films like I Love Hong Kong and Buddy Cops before making his tentative first steps into the music industry. Rising to prominence as a Cantopop singer after participating in the 2010 Hong Kong edition of reality TV show The Voice, in which he placed fifth, he secured a record deal with TVB, going on to pen numerous themes for TV shows. In 2015, he signed to Star Entertainment, reintroducing himself to the public under the moniker Kwan Gor. He debuted with a self-titled EP and a slew of popular radio singles later the same year including âåä¾å¥¹ä¸å¤ ææâ, âé½å é»çæâ, and his first 997 chart-topper, âåéâ. These soon led him to scoop up numerous accolades, including two Ultimate Song Chart Awards and a J.S.G Award. By 2016, he had finalised his first full-length album, ç¾å§, which spawned a whopping four chart-topping singles. Again performing strongly in national charts with his 2018 double EP, Keep Going, he released a further run of singles via Star in 2019 before parting ways with the label. In 2020, he signed to Sunny Idea, with whom he released a new single entitled âåå§å¿æ â. The song picked up a Metro Radio Hit Award just months on from its release.
