Jack Vidgen

Jack Vidgen, born on 17 January 1997 in Australia, is an Australian singer who first attracted national attention as a teenager. Vidgen’s early performances at local events in Sydney, where he taught himself piano and guitar, culminated in a televised breakthrough when he auditioned for the fifth season of Australia’s Got Talent in 2011, delivering a rendition of Whitney Houston’s "I Have Nothing" that earned a standing ovation and ultimately the competition’s grand prize. Following the win, Vidgen signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia and released the single "Yes I Am" on 3 August 2011; the track peaked at Number 35 on the ARIA Singles Chart. The album Yes I Am was issued on 19 August 2011, debuting at Number 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart and receiving a gold certification for 35 000 shipments. His second studio album Inspire followed on 27 April 2012, reaching Number 23 on the chart. After parting ways with Sony, Vidgen returned to television in 2019 as a semi‑finalist on The Voice Australia, and later appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champions (2020) and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! (2021). His career continues to feature appearances on reality shows and live performances, maintaining his presence in the Australian pop music scene.
