Irwansyah

Indonesian actor and singer Irwansyah was born March 6, 1985 in Jakarta. He first gained exposure while still a teenager on a variety of soap operas. His film and music breakthrough happened with the 2006 romantic movie Heart in which he starred alongside his then significant other Acha Septriasa. The twosome’s recording of the movie’s main love song, “My Heart”, became a smash hit, achieving numerous sales and winning a handful of year-end awards for best song in a movie. The couple broke up their personal relationship, but they remained a popular on-screen duo, and Irwansyah capitalized on their single’s success with a 2008 debut LP Solitary, which featured the single “I’ll Wait for You To Be a Widow”. He scored another chart single with “Perempuanku” His film career continued with movies such as 2010’s Love Story 2011’s Mudik, and 2019’s Roh Fasik.
