Imagination Movers

The Imagination Movers were formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2002. The band consists of drummer Rich Collins, keyboardist Scott K Durbin, bassist Dave Poche, and guitarist Scott “Smitty” Smith, who collectively sought to provide creative music and positive content for children. Their first independent releases, Good Ideas (2002), Calling All Movers (2004), and Eight Feet (2005), were followed by the Disney‑distributed debut Juice Box Heroes (2008). In September 2008, the Imagination Movers television series began airing on Playhouse Disney and later Disney Junior. Subsequent albums For Those About to Hop (2009), In a Big Warehouse (2010), Rock‑O‑Matic (2012), Licensed to Move (2014), and Blue Skies (2024) expanded the group’s catalog, while singles such as "Super Movers" (2016) and "Happy" (2021) achieved top positions on children’s charts. The band earned a Daytime Emmy in 2009 for "Boing, Cluck, Cluck" and a WGA Award in 2011.
