ILY

Ilham El Arbaoui, aka ILY, is a Moroccan rapper who fuses rap, modern melodies and Afro-trap influences. Daughter of chaâbi singer Abdelaziz Stati, she draws on her roots while exploring contemporary sounds. Her first project, IRA, released in 2021, marked her entry into rap, with a style oscillating between hard-hitting egotrip and introspective tracks, carried by a singular voice and mastered flows. In 2023, she confirmed her talent with GTA, a project in which she experimented more with drill, afrobeat and electronic sounds, while retaining her personal style. Very active on the Moroccan scene, she multiplies collaborations with figures such as Tagne, SmallX and Snor, enriching her music with diverse influences. Her approach to rap combines power and melody, enabling her to establish herself as one of the rising voices of hip-hop in Morocco and the French-speaking world.
