ILoveMakonnen

Known artistically as ILoveMakonnen, American Makonnen Sheran was born on June 13, 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Of African, Indian, Irish, German, Chinese and South American descent, he is a perfect summary of the density of the American melting pot . In 2002, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where ILoveMakonnen developed his taste for music, with its mix of soul, pop and R&B influences. He made his debut on MySpace in 2008, before being sentenced the following year to four years' probation for a murky manslaughter case. Spotted by producer Mike Will in 2012, ILoveMakonnen released the ILoveMakonnen EP in December 2014. Rated in the US and France, the track "Tuesday", featuring Drake, became his first hit.
