Ildo Lobo

Ildo Lobo, born November 25, 1953, in Pedra de Lume, Sal, Cape Verde, was a singer and composer. He started performing at local bars and festivals before joining Os Tubarões, releasing albums like Pépé Lopi (1976) and Tabanca (1980). His solo career began with Nôs Morna in 1996, produced by Mário Lúcio. In 2001, he released Intelectual, featuring Cesária Évora. Lobo maintained a full-time job as an airport customs officer despite his busy music schedule. His final album, Incondicional, was released in 2004. He passed away on October 20, 2004, at age 50.
