Ikuta Lilas

Ikuta Lilas, born 25 September 2000 in Tokyo, Tokyo, is a Japanese singer and songwriter whose career began with street performances and a YouTube cover channel at age 14. After finalist placement in Sony Music Japan’s Singin'Japan audition in 2015 and a demo CD release in 2016, she joined the cover group Plusonica and debuted on television in 2018. Her first extended play, Rerise, followed in April 2018, and she released the independent EP Jukebox in November 2019. In 2019, a collaboration with producer Ayase launched the duo Yoasobi, whose debut single "Yoru ni Kakeru" achieved viral success. She signed with Sony Japan and released her debut studio album Sketch on 8 March 2023, which entered the Oricon Albums Chart at number four and the Billboard Japan Hot Albums at number two. Subsequent singles such as "P.S." (2023), " humming" (2024), and "Sign" (2024) served as themes for film and television projects, expanding her commercial footprint. In 2025 she released her second album Laugh, which debuted at number one on the Japanese charts, and performed at the 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen with "Koikaze". Her collaborations with international artists and her role as global ambassador for Coach New York in September 2025 underscore her growing influence in the music industry. Her 2nd full album, Laugh, including the track "Cafe Latte" was released on January 14, 2026.
