Offbeat, provocative and reckless, this group will prove indispensable, if it isn't already, to fans of Philippe Katerine or Brigitte Fontaine. Created and led since 2001 by Frédéric Jean from Toulouse, a facetious songwriter with a theatrical background, Hyperclean released their first album of the same name in 2005 on the independent label Microbe, before being snapped up by Warner. But they've made a name for themselves above all with their crazy shows, spiced up with music described as "pop-trash", inspired by the Yéyés or the other groups to which their musicians belong.
