Husking Bee, a Japanese punk rock band, was formed in 1994 with Masafumi Isobe on vocals and guitar, Tetsuya âTekkinâ KudÅ on bass, and Leona Hiramoto on drums. The group's initial steps included their first release âNot Superstitious IIIâ in 1995. In 2000, Kazuya Hirabayashi joined as a guitarist and vocalist, contributing to the band's evolving sound. Husking Bee continued with notable releases such as the EP The Sun and the Moon (2000), the album Four Color Problem (2001), and The Steady-State Theory (2002). Their studio album Variandante was released in 2004. The band's discography also includes the compilation album Anthology [1994â2004], released in 2005 following their disbandment on March 6 of that year. Husking Bee is recognized for their instrumental skills and songwriting abilities, earning respect within the alternative/punk scene, particularly in Japan. In 2007, a tribute album featuring various Japanese bands was recorded in honor of Husking Bee's contributions to music.
