Human Nature

Human Nature, an Australian pop vocal group, formed in 1989 as a quartet featuring Toby Allen, Phil Burton, and brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney. Originally known as the 4 Trax, the group started as a doo-wop act while the members were schoolmates. After signing with Sony Music, they released their debut album Telling Everybody in December 1996. The album included notable singles such as "Got It Goin' On" and "Wishes", which reached number 19 and number 6 on the ARIA Singles Chart respectively. Human Nature gained international recognition by supporting Celine Dion on her Falling Into You Around the World tour in March 1996, and later opening for Michael Jackson's HIStory World Tour in December 1996. Their subsequent albums Counting Down (1999) (which featured the hit John Farnham duet "Everytime You Cry") and Reach Out: The Motown Record (2005) both topped the ARIA Albums Charts. Human Nature's residency in Las Vegas began in May 2009, performing a Motown-themed show on the Las Vegas Strip, completing their 1000th show in April 2014. In November 2019, they were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, and the group returned in 2020 with the album Good Good Life as well as the single "Upside Down" in 2025.
