HUGEL

French DJ and producer Florent Hugel, known to the public by his last name, Hugel, was born on December 4, 1987, in Marseille. In 2005, he began crafting his own songs and creating remixes. He celebrated his first successes in the EDM scene as part of the duo KitSch 2.0 and also produced hip-hop beats under the stage name Hipshaker. With his debut single as Hugel, titled “Coming Home” (feat. Jimmy Hennessy), he immediately made his first chart entry in Germany in 2015. His commercial breakthrough came two years later with the single “I Believe I’m Fine”, which he produced together with Robin Schulz and for which he received his first gold record. In 2018, he released a remix of the song “Bella Ciao,” which had become famous through the TV series Money Heist. The summer hit went platinum in Germany and reached No. 1 in Austria. Shortly thereafter, he followed up with “WTF”, featuring vocals by soul singer Amber Van Day, which charted and was certified Gold in Germany and Austria. Hugel was also in high demand internationally as a live performer and DJ. He was a regular guest at legendary clubs in Ibiza and performed at the world’s biggest EDM festivals, such as Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and Parookaville. In 2020, he remixed the international hit “Breaking Me” by German producer Topic and Swedish artist A7S, which enjoyed just as much popularity as the song “Morenita”, which he released in 2021 with the musicians from the band Cumbiafrica. In the years that followed, Hugel continued to collaborate with numerous DJs, producers, and singers, including Alle Farben and Fast Boy, Quarterhead, Benjamin Ingrosso, Tom Enzy, Diplo, Topic, Arash, Sonique, David Guetta, and Kehlani. In 2026, he released his debut album “Twenty One” featuring the hits “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” (No. 21 in France) and “Movin’ to the Sun” featuring Ismael Angel and Ultra Naté. Other guest artists include Snoop Dogg, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Big Sean, Scott Storch, Roy Woods, French Montana, Malachiii, Mili, and Donel.
