Huang Yi is a Chinese actress and Mandopop singer born on September 13, 1979, in Shanghai. She began her career in 1998 appearing in the television series Ernü Yingxiong Zhuan. In 2000, she performed in the series Wrong Carriage, Right Groom. Huang entered the music industry in 2003 by recording the single âZhÇyà o yÇu nÇâ, which served as the theme song for My Fair Princess III, a production in which she also performed the lead role. She released her debut studio album, Dì yÄ« gè xià tiÄn, in August 2005. Her film career included roles in The Go Master (2006) and The Woman Knight of Mirror Lake (2011). Huang received the Golden Lotus Award for Best Actress at the 2011 Macau International Movie Festival. Her discography featured various recordings, including the singles âQÃshà wÇ Ã i nÇâ (2006) and âQÄ«ngchÅ«n mèngxiÇngâ (2009).
