HK & Les Saltimbanks

Kaddour Hadadi, known as HK, was born in 1976 in Roubaix, and became the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of HK & Les Saltimbanks, a French chanson group formed in 2009. The ensemble debuted with the album Citoyen du Monde in 2011, featuring the socially charged track "On lâche rien", later adopted by political campaigns. In 2012 they released Les Temps modernes, collaborating with Flavia Coelho, Karimouche, Souad Massi and the MAP. Their 2015 album Rallumeurs d'Étoiles continued the activist theme. In 2021 the single "Danser encore" amassed over 1.6 million views, cementing their influence. HK followed with albums L'Empire de Papier (2017), Petite Terre (2020), and Un Autre Rendez-Vous with Awa Ly (2022). The band followed up with Le Cœur au Vent, arrived on 15 May 2026.
