Himika Akaneya, born Julyâ¯16â¯1994 in Yurihonjo, Akita Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with 81â¯Produce. She entered the entertainment industry through voice roles in anime such as Freezing Vibration and Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live, establishing herself as a versatile performer. Her breakthrough as a solo singer came in 2023 when she debuted under her English name with the single "Stereo Sunset", released on Novemberâ¯22â¯2023; the track served as the ending theme for the anime MF Ghost and marked her transition from idol group member to independent artist. In the same year, she released the album Stereo Sunset (Prod. AmPm) on Novemberâ¯22, followed by the single "SARANG" on Augustâ¯2. The following year she continued to expand her discography with the album Side U (Prod. AmPm) scheduled for release on Novemberâ¯20, 2024, and the single "Side U" (TV size ver.) on Octoberâ¯7, 2024.
