Hey June!

Hey June! is a Filipino indie rock band formed in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The group consists of James "Jim" Ligtas Mase on vocals and rhythm guitar, Chloe "Coey" Anne Ballesteros on bass and backing vocals, and Albert "Aci" Cian G. Fodra on drums and backing vocals. Their formation was facilitated by Soupstar Music through recommendations from friends and family. The band's name is inspired by the month of their inception. Hey June! released their debut single "Just A Hit" in late 2021, followed by "Panahon" in early 2022, which explored themes of timing and emotional reflection. In October 2022, they signed with Island Records Philippines. Their debut album Curiosity Killed the Cat was released on November 9, 2023, featuring singles such as "Sino Mali" (Who is Wrong), "Orasan" (Clock), and "Lasik". The latter became a sleeper hit in 2025, debuting at number 39 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100. In 2024, they released a cover of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. The band won the People's Voice Award for Breakthrough Artist at the 36th Awit Awards and was nominated for Best Performance by a Group and Best Alternative Recording for "Sino Mali".
