Her's was a British indie pop duo formed in Liverpool in 2015 by Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading. Both met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and initially performed as part of the rhythm section of Sundogs before adopting the name Her's after a humorous clip on video streaming platforms. Their first release, the single "Marcel" (2016), gained traction on streaming platforms and helped secure a deal with Heist or Hit Records. In 2017, the duo issued the compilation album Songs of Her's (2017), which received positive reviews for its varied stylistic approach and spawned the track "Marcel", which achieved over 2.1â¯million Spotify streams in September 2017. On 24â¯Augustâ¯2018, they released the fullâlength album Invitation to Her's, further establishing their presence on the UK indie scene and earning a place on Paste's list of â15 new Liverpool bands to know in 2018.â The band toured extensively across the UK, Europe, and North America, including a notable acoustic set at South by Southwest in 2019. On 27â¯Marchâ¯2019, during a North American tour, Stephen Fitzpatrick, Audun Laading, and manager Trevor Engelbrektson were killed in a fatal traffic collision near Centennial, Arizona, bringing the groupâs career to an abrupt end.
