Hermetic Delight is a French alternative rock group formed in 2010 in Strasbourg by Atef Aouadhi, Delphine Padilla, and Nicolas Kientzler. Turkish vocalist Zeynep Kaya joined the ensemble after responding to an advertisement while studying at the local conservatory. The group established the October Tone label in 2011 and released their debut EP, Universe Like Thousands of Red Alternatives, that same year. After winning a competition at the Décibulles festival in 2012, they released several extended plays, including Heartbeat in 2012, To the Grave to the Rave!!! in 2013, and Vow in 2016. In 2020, Hermetic Delight released their first full-length studio album, F.A. Cult. Produced by Charles Rowell, the record shifted toward a more cinematic and luminous sound influenced by MGMT and Teenage Fanclub. The project also marked a linguistic departure for the band, incorporating French and Turkish lyrics alongside their established English repertoire.
