Finnish alternative rock band Happoradio was formed in Helsinki in 2001. It comprises musicians Aki Tykki (vocals, guitar), Mika Haapasalo (guitar), Jatu Motti (bass), Klaus Suominen (keyboards) and Markku DeFrost (drums). Influenced by indie rock and 1990s grunge, Happoradio scored their first hit in 2003 with "Pois Kalliosta", taken from their debut album Asemalla, which reached No. 24 in the local charts. Further successes followed with the albums Pienet ja keskisuuret elämät (No. 28 in 2004), Vuosipäivä (No. 23 in 2006) and the following number ones, Kaunis minä (2008), Puolimieli (2010), Elefantti (2014) and Kauniin kääntöpiiri (2017). In 2021, the Majakka album reached No. 5, before the release of a second compilation, Ihmisen mittainen - Tarinoita 2002-2022 (No. 14), eleven years after the previous Jälkiä 2001-2011 (No. 6). Released in 2025, the track "Ojaan ja allikkoon" reached no. 21 in the Finnish Radio Top 100.
