Hanmaeum

Hanmaeum is a South Korean folk music band known for its heartfelt melodies and contributions to the country's contemporary folk scene. The band specializes in folk pop, K-ballads, and folk rock, blending traditional Korean elements with modern influences. Fronted by vocalists Kang Youngcheol and Yang Hayoung, the duo not only shared musical synergy but also tied the knot in November 1985, though their marriage ended in divorce in October 1987. Their discography includes timeless works like Hanmaeum Vol. 2 (1984), Everything of Hanmaeum (1986), and Everything About One Heart (Rocks on the Seashore) (1987). Known for their emotional storytelling and soothing harmonies, Hanmaeum's music resonated across generations.
