Hanley and the Baird are an Edinburgh-based duo made up of seasoned musicians and songwriters Annette Hanley and Kirsty Baird, who have worked together since 2008. With roots grounded in Scotland’s vibrant live music scene, both artists earned their stripes performing in clubs and pubs across the country, learning their craft from the ground up. Their sound is a distinctive and powerful crossover of pop, country, Americana, and rock, blending heartfelt storytelling with infectious melodies and rich harmonies. Whether performing as a tight acoustic duo or with their full four-piece band, Hanley and the Baird deliver dynamic, emotionally charged performances that connect deeply with audiences. After spending some time gigging on the live circuit, they began releasing music in the 2020s and headed straight into Scottish country and UK chart territory with the likes of "The Motorway Song" (2022) and 2025's "Melissa Fairfeather."
