halca

Japanese musician halca is known for her upbeat pop sound and contribution to the anison canon; the genre of anime-related theme songs. She first came to the public's attention when she performed as the opening act for the vocaloid music group HoneyWorks in 2017, before launching her solo career in 2018 with her first single "Kimi no Tonari" (キミの隣, lit. "Next to You"), the title track of which was used as the closing theme for the anime series Wotakoi: Live is Hard for Otaku. Her follow-up single "Starting Blue" (スターティングブルー) was released in October 2018, with the title track used as the closing theme for the second season of the Ace Attorney anime television series. She has since released another five singles for various anime series, including her sixth single "Kimi ga Ita Shirushi" (キミがいたしるし), which was released in May 2021 as the closing theme for the anime series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
