Guimzy is a Reunionese artist from Saint-André, a member of the 240 Gang collective alongside Joe Rem and Kid Flash. The group made a name for itself in 2016 with tracks such as"Vision","Dan le moov" and"Tousser". 240 Gang played a significant role in the emergence of the local rap scene, helping to popularize Creole rap among Reunionese listeners and the new generation of rap fans. In 2018, Guimzy released the track"Baby", taken from his debut mixtape Mi T Koné, marking his solo debut. In 2019, he collaborated with Keyo, a rapper from Saint-Denis, on the track"440 et le 490", illustrating a desire to build bridges between different local scenes and promote solidarity in Reunionese music.
