GRP All-Star Big Band

GRP All-Star Big Band was an American jazz big band from the United States, formed in the late 1980s. Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen, founders of GRP Records, assembled the group to perform new arrangements of jazz pieces from the 1950s and 1960s. The group released the debut studio album GRP All-Star Big Band in 1992. In 1993, the band released the live album Dave Grusin Presents GRP All-Star Big Band Live!. Both recordings received Grammy Award nominations. The group released the album All Blues in 1995. This work won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. The band became inactive in the 1990s.
