Groza is a black metal band from Mühldorf am Inn, Bavaria, founded in 2016. Originally started as a solo project by P.G., Groza evolved into a full band in 2018 with additional members such as U.A. (guitar, backing vocals) and T.H.Z. (drums). Their style is characterized by a dark mixture of melodic and aggressive black metal, often accompanied by melancholic guitar passages and raging blast beats. Their debut album Unified in Void was released in 2018 and attracted a lot of attention in the black metal scene. With their second album The Redemptive End (2021), Groza achieved greater fame and the band was compared to other greats of black metal such as MgÅa. In 2024, they release their third album Nadir, which is celebrated in the scene as a further development of their intense and emotional style. Groza regularly tour Europe and are known for their intense live performances. The band explores themes such as nihilism, misanthropy and atheism in their lyrics and remain a staple of the European black metal scene.
