Spencer Warren aka Grey Code is a British drum'n'bass DJ and producer affiliated with the Metalheadz label. Born in Lewes, East Sussex, he moved to London and made a name for himself in 2017 with the single "Fall from Grace / Node Fiber", then the EP Traces, released under the specialist label Dispatch Recordings, like the follow-up Reverie. Signed to the cult Metalheadz label, created by Goldie in 1994, the producer enters the drum'n'bass family, from which he draws inspiration through his productions, also looking to the future with the minimal and funk styles he develops in the Helios EP (2020) and the track "Simple Things" (2021), remixed by Rueben, Wingz and Waeys. In 2022, the album Renewal gives an even broader overview of Warren's studio work, while he also DJs in prestigious clubs such as Fabric, Egg and Motion, as well as all over Europe. After a new single, "Headless / Nowhere Ever" in 2022, Grey Code returns with the Growing Pains EP, featuring singer Omar on "Don't Cry".
