GothBoiClique, an American emo rap collective also known as GBC, was formed in 2012 by Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Cold Hart, and Horse Head. The group's name comes from a beat that Cold Hart produced, which inspired Wicca Phase Springs Eternal to tweet "GothboiClique." Initially operating independently through social media platforms like Tumblr, the group began recruiting new artists and became a sub-group of Thraxxhouse in 2014. Lil Tracy (then known as Yung Bruh) joined Thraxxhouse later in 2014 and soon became a fan of GBC, eventually joining the collective. On June 25, 2016, GothBoiClique released their debut mixtape, Yeah It's True. Lil Peep announced his official membership later in 2016, shortly after releasing his mixtape Hellboy. On November 15, 2017, Lil Peep was found dead on his tour bus in Tucson, Arizona.
