Good Kid is a Canadian indie rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario, in 2015 by lead vocalist Nick Frosst, drummer Jon Kereliuk, bassist Michael Kozakov, and guitarists David Wood and Jacob Tsafatinos. The group originated while its members studied computer science at the University of Toronto and released their first single, "Nomu", on 13â¯Octoberâ¯2015, which introduced the mascot Nomu Kid and attracted early attention from Reddit users. In 2018 they issued their debut EP Good Kid, followed by Good Kid 2 in 2020, which featured the track "Down With the King" and launched the Ghost Kingâs Revenge alternate reality game. The bandâs visibility surged through Fortnite streams in 2021, leading to the inclusion of "Witches" and "Orbit" on the gameâs inâgame radio in June and October of that year, respectively. Their catalog expanded with the EPs Good Kid 3 (14â¯Aprilâ¯2023) and Good Kid 4 (27â¯Marchâ¯2024), the latter containing singles such as "Bubbly" and a cover of "From the Start" that became their most streamed track. A selfâtitled debut album, Can We Hang Out Sometime?, was released on 3â¯Aprilâ¯2026. Good Kid has toured extensively across North America, the UK, and Europe, performed at Lollapalooza in 2024, and received nominations for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2024 Juno Awards and Album Artwork of the Year in 2025.
