Glennis Grace

Glennis Grace is a Dutch singer born Glenda Hulita Elisabeth Batta on 19 June 1978 in Amsterdam. She rose to national prominence at age 16 after winning the television talent show Soundmixshow in 1994 with a performance of Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time”. In 2005, she represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest with the ballad “My Impossible Dream”. Grace achieved a Number 1 hit on the Dutch charts in April 2011 with a rendition of “Afscheid”. She reached the finals of the thirteenth season of America's Got Talent in 2018. In 2012, she co-founded the supergroup Ladies of Soul, though she left the ensemble in 2024 following a legal incident in 2022 involving a supermarket altercation. Grace was sentenced to 200 hours of community service for the incident in November 2022. She performed as an interval act during the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
