Glashaus is a German soul and R&B band that was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 1999. The founding members are singer Cassandra Steen (born February 9, 1980, Ostfildern), rapper and producer Moses Pelham (born February 24, 1971, Frankfurt am Main) and producer and composer Martin Haas. Between 2008 and 2016, Peppa Singt takes over the vocal part. The debut album Glashaus is released on April 2, 2001 and reaches number 20 in the German album charts. The single "Wenn das Liebe ist" rises to number 5 in the German charts and is awarded gold. This is followed by the albums Glashaus II (Jah Sound System) (2002, number 16), Drei (2005, number 4), Neu (2009, number 53) and Kraft (2017, number 16). The latter marks the return of Cassandra Steen to the band. Glashaus combines German-language soul with elements of pop, R&B and hip-hop. The lyrics are often emotional and occasionally contain religious references. The band received the SignsAward for their artistic work in 2017.
