Giovanni Giancaspro, known professionally as Gio Evan, was born on April 21, 1988, in Italy. He began his career in his early twenties with the self-published book Il florilegio passato. In 2013, he founded Le scarpe del vento, releasing his first record, Craniotherapy, independently. Evan's music career gained traction with the release of his debut album Biglietto di solo ritorno in 2018 under MArteLabel. In 2021, he participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Arnica," which was part of his album Mareducato. Evan's literary works include novels like La bella maniera (2014) and poetry collections such as Teorema di un salto (2015).
