Gary Low, born Luis Romano Peris Belmonte on June 7, 1954, in Rome, Italy, was an Italian musician known for his contributions to dance music. Born to Spanish parents, he spent significant time in SarriĆ”, Spain. Gary Low gained prominence in the italo disco scene with his debut single "You're A Danger" in 1982, which reached Number 1 in Spain and was produced by Paul & Peter Micioni. The following year, he released another hit single "I Want You", further solidifying his presence in the dance music genre. In 1984, Gary Low achieved his biggest success with an italo disco version of "La Colegiala", originally performed by Los Ilusionistas. This track became a global summer anthem and remains one of his most recognized works. Throughout his career, Gary Low released several albums including Go On (1983), La Colegiala (1984), Rien Ne Va Plus (1985), and compilations such as The Best Of (1993) and I Want You - The Best of Gary Low (1995). After his musical career, he retired from the music industry and focused on managing a chain of gyms.
