Gary Go

A product of the modern techno age, Gary Go achieved his breakthrough via the networking age, writing songs with the help of suggestions and ideas from followers on Twitter and the iPhone. One of his most celebrated songs, The Heart Balloon, came about after he posted an image of a heart-shaped balloon and invited lyric suggestions for a song to go with it. The story goes that his father gave him a Casio keyboard when he was five and shouted "Gary, go!" He started writing songs when he was eight and in 2007 released the EPs So So and The Diary of Rodney Harvey, launching his own independent label and studio, The Canvas Room. He subsequently co-headlined a tour with VV Brown, supported Take That, Lady Gaga and Mika, played numerous UK festivals and had an international hit with Wonderful, a track from his 2009 debut album Gary Go.
