Gary

Kang Hee-gun, known professionally as Gary, is a South Korean rapper and songwriter born on February 24, 1978. He joined the hip-hop group X-Teen in 1997 and performed on their 1998 debut album. In 1999, he joined Honey Family, releasing two albums before forming the duo Leessang in 2002. The group released eight albums, including the 2011 recording Asura Balbalta. Gary gained international recognition as a co-host on the variety show Running Man from 2010 to 2016. In 2014, he released his debut solo EP, Mr.Gae. Despite a television broadcast ban, the single “Shower Later” reached Number 1 on eight music charts. He followed this with the studio album 2002 in 2015, featuring the track “Get Some Air”. Gary married in 2017 and joined the cast of The Return of Superman in 2020.
