Gacharic Spin

Heavily influenced by electronic rock, alternative metal, and pop rock, Gacharic Spin formed in 2009 in Tokyo, Japan. Bassist F Chopper Koga and vocalist Armmy launched the group with three guitarists — Hana, Tomo-zo, and Eita — and the all-female lineup introduced its sound with a debut single, "Lock On!!," in 2010. A full-length album, Delicious, followed in 2013. Although Gacharic Spin's lineup fluctuated throughout the 2010s, the band's commercial success remained steady, thanks to a flamboyant stage presence and a series of eclectic albums. 2014's Winner, 2015's Music Battler, 2016's Certain Fluctuation: Kakuhe, and 2018's G-litter all charted within the Top 40 in Japan. The group released multiple Top 40 singles, as well, reaching a peak with "Shakishaki shite!!/Arubusu no shōjo" — which hit number 17 on the Oricon Singles Chart — in 2017. Gold Dash was released in March 2020, although a national tour in support of its release was cancelled in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. The album was successful nevertheless, hitting number 22 on the Oricon Albums Chart and paving the way for 2021's self-titled Gacharic Spin, which peaked at number 15. W, the band's eighth studio album, arrived in 2023 and debuted at number 20, led by the hit single "Ticking Mountain."
