Fun Fun

Fun Fun is an Italian Italo disco band founded in 1983 in Brescia, Italy by producers Dario Raimondi and Alvaro Ugolini. The formation is not a classic live ensemble, but a studio project in which various female singers and models work together to produce energetic, electronic dance music that is stylistically located between Italo disco, synthpop and Hi-NRG. The vocalists include Ivana Spagna (December 16, 1956, Verona, Italy), Antonella Pepe and Angela Parisi, who sing in the studio, while visual representatives Francesca Merola, Roberta Servelli and Elena Trastulli take on the role of band members in performances and video productions. Over the years, the line-up in the studio and visually changed several times. The band establishes itself with the debut single release "Happy Station" (1983), which attracts attention in several European countries and beyond and introduces them to the growing Italo disco scene of the 1980s. This was followed by further singles such as "Colour My Love" (1984), "Give Me Your Love" (1984), "Living In Japan" (1985) and "Baila Bolero" (1986), which made their presence felt in Europe and the US dance charts. 1984 sees the release of the first album Have Fun!, which brings together the band's typical sound. A second album, Double Fun, followed in 1987, containing further singles and remixes. There are also compilations such as The Best of Fun Fun from 1994.
