Friko is a Chicagoâbased indie rock band formed in 2019 by Niko Kapetan, Luke Stamos, and Bailey Minzenberger. They released the EPs EP1 (2020) and Whenever Forever (2022) before signing with ATO Records in August 2023. Their debut album, Where We've Been, Where We Go from Here (Februaryâ¯16,â¯2024), included the track "Get Numb To It!", which was named KCRWâs âTodayâs Top Tuneâ and featured in Pitchforkâs list of nine mustâlisten releases. After the album, the group expanded to a quartet with bassist David Fuller and guitarist Korgan Robb. Their second album, Something Worth Waiting For, recorded in Los Angeles with producer John Congleton, was released on Aprilâ¯24,â¯2026.
