Francisca Valenzuela

Francisca Valenzuela, born on March 17, 1987, in San Francisco, California, is a Chilean-American singer. She moved to Santiago, Chile at age 12 and began performing original songs at school festivals. In 2004, she attended an intensive jazz program at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Francisca Valenzuela's breakthrough came with the unofficial release of her first single "Peces" in 2006, which gained popularity on Chilean radio. Her debut album Muérdete La Lengua was released in June 2007 and certified Gold in Chile. She earned her first Latin Grammy Award nomination for her third studio album, Tajo Abierto, released in September 2014 under Frantastic Records. Francisca Valenzuela's subsequent albums include La Fortaleza (2020) and Vida Tan Bonita (2022), both under Sony Music Chile. In August 2023, she returned to independent releases with her sixth studio album, Adentro, which earned her a Latin Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop/Rock Album. She followed up in 2024 with the singles "Rompecorazones" and "Raíces."
