Fella Abd al-Hamid Ababsa, known professionally as Fella El Djazairia, was born on April 23, 1958, in Saint Denis, France. She is an Algerian singer and pianist from a prominent artistic family. At age 15, she began performing with musical groups in Algiers. By 20, she moved to London for several years, refining her skills in oriental music. Fella's career took off in the early 1990s with performances in the United States and later in Egypt and the Middle East. Her debut album Singin' Rai was released in 1993. She was signed to Rotana Records and collaborated with notable figures such as Assala Nasri and Tarek Al Eryan, who helped her enter the Egyptian market.
