Felipe e Rodrigo, a Brazilian sertanejo duo, formed in 2021 when Felipe de Pinho Marins from Mesquita, Rio de Janeiro, and Rodrigo dos Santos Marcolino from Campinas, São Paulo, discovered a natural synergy while composing the hit "Arranhão," popularized by Henrique & Juliano. Before joining forces, Felipe, a skilled lyricist, and Rodrigo, a seasoned musician with solo ambitions, had already contributed to the sertanejo scene through hits like "Erro Gostoso" for Simone Mendes and "Ficha Limpa" for Gusttavo Lima. Their debut as performers came with the 2022 EP Média Boa, featuring the chart-topping title track, which became one of the yearâs biggest sertanejo hits. Their success continued with the 2023 EP No Sentimento, which surpassed 300 million streams on streaming platforms and solidified their status in Brazilâs Top Global charts. The duo's 2024 single, "Gosta de Rua," became a cultural phenomenon, dominating streaming platforms and cementing their mainstream appeal. Alongside hits like "Empurrão" and "Saudade Butequeira," Felipe e Rodrigo have grown their social media following to over 300,000 and their monthly listeners to 8 million. Later that year, the pair released the live album Questão De Tempo, which featured guest appearances by Matheus & Kauan, Guilherme & Benuto, and Simone Mendes. By late 2025, Felipe e Rodrigo moved into a new audiovisual chapter with Velhos Hábitosârecorded in São Paulo with additional sessions in Nashvilleâand launched the rollout with the author-written single âDois Gumes (Ao Vivo)â (2025), produced by Eduardo Pepato and credited as the opening release of the project, later packaged in Velhos Hábitos Vol. 1 (Ao Vivo) - EP (2025).
