FBC

Fabricio Soares Teixeira, known as FBC, was born on June 6, 1989, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and grew up in nearby Santa Luzia, where he first performed a self-written rap at a school event before spending his teens playing drums in a rock cover band and immersing himself in local Catholic youth music groups. He released his first track, "Navio Negreiro," in 2006, then deepened his involvement with hip-hop from 2007 onward through the Duelo de MCs battles in Belo Horizonte, becoming one of their most successful competitors and, in 2015, turning music into his main profession while joining the collective DV Tribo alongside Djonga, Clara Lima, Hot e Oreia and Coyote Beatz. FBC issued his debut album S.C.A. in 2018, followed by the 2019 album Padrim, which drew wider attention and online traction, and in 2020 he released the collaborative album Best Duo with Iza Sabino plus the Europe-recorded project Outro Rolê with producer VHOOR. He and VHOOR then issued the Miami-bass-driven album Baile in 2021, whose single "Se Tá Solteira" became a major streaming and social media success, and in 2023 the pair revisited that universe with the EP Dias Antes do Baile while FBC also released his solo electronic-leaning album O amor, o perdão e a tecnologia irão nos levar para outro planeta, later highlighted by critics among the standout Brazilian releases of the year. In 2025 he continued expanding his mix of rap, funk and electronic music on the album Assaltos e Batidas.
