Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, born 13â¯Marchâ¯2000 in Anambra State, Nigeria, emerged as a singerâsongwriter known professionally as Fave. She began singing in church at six and first gained attention with short videos during the COVIDâ19 lockdown. Her breakthrough came with the 2021 single "Baby Riddim", which reached Number one on the TurnTable chart and remained Number one on Global Shazam Afrobeats for six weeks. Fave signed with emPawa Africa in Novemberâ¯2021 and released her debut EP Riddimâ¯5 on 20â¯Januaryâ¯2022, which reached Number one on Apple Musicâs Nigerian Top Albums chart. In 2024 she launched the EP Dutty Love, debuting at Number five on the same chart and charting in thirteen countries. She earned Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2022 and received nominations for Best New Artist at the 2022 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. In 2025, the single "Intentions" reached number 20 on the US Afrobeats Songs chart and number 14 on the UK Afrobeats Songs chart.
