Fann Wong

Fann Wong, born Fann Woon Fong on January 27, 1971, in Singapore, is a singer and actress. She began her career as a child actor and later won a beauty contest organized by Her World magazine at the age of 16. In 1993, she moved to Taiwan where she gained regional exposure through television commercials and drama series. Fann Wong released her debut Mandarin pop album Fantasy in late 1996, which was retitled I Live Alone for the Taiwanese market and won four IFPI platinum sales awards. Her subsequent albums include 逛街 (1998), 想你 (1999), and 沒有問題 (2000). In 1995, she became the first actress to win three prominent awards at Singapore's Star Awards: Best Actress, Best Newcomer, and Top 5 Most Popular Female Artist. Fann Wong also starred in notable films such as Shanghai Knights (2003), becoming the first Singaporean actress to break into Hollywood.
